Obama Ending Restrictions On Islamic Asylum Seekers With “Loose” Terrorist Ties

February 6, 2014

Obama’s open invitation to terrorists is official. The Obama  Administration is “quietly” ending restrictions on asylum seekers with  incidental terrorist ties from Islamic countries. This means it will be much  easier for those with outright Islamic terrorist connections to seek “asylum” in  the United States. How is Obama doing this? Unilaterally, of course. He is the  imperial  President with a pen and his phone. What the King wants he will get, even at  the expense of the nation’s security. Not only is this opening up the  possibility of a massive influx of Syrian  asylum seekers, it is also making it possible for other Islamists from other  countries to infiltrate the United States. This is more than dangerous, it’s deadly. Obama, the American  Nero, is doing his best to see that the US burns.

Leftist progressives at Politico and Thinkprogress are cheering the lawless unilateral action of President Obama. One would expect  blind, raging progressives to be pleased about the influx of Islamic terrorists  into the United States. This is a move toward a more “inclusive” America. Their  praise of the Muslim Brotherhood Barack Obama is enough to make anyone with half a brain  realize that such action is catastrophic.

Politico writes, “The Obama administration is quietly making it easier for people with  tangential connections to terror groups to receive refugee status or asylum in  the United States.

Two new exemptions to the Immigration and Nationality Act published  in the Federal Register Wednesday by the Departments of Homeland Security and  State mean that who provided “insignificant” or “limited” material support for terror groups will no longer  be automatically denied eligibility from asylum or refugee status.

The  rules will affect about 3,000 people who have pending asylum cases, one  refugee advocate said, and an unknown additional number of people currently in  the process of being deported. It will likely help Syrian refugees who would  otherwise be blocked from receiving U.S. aid by existing  rules.

How does one downplay an asylum  seeker with ties to terrorism as “insignificant?” Maybe the “terrorist” in  question is a relative, but the actual asylum seeker hasn’t blown up anything  yet. In Obama’s American hell hole, this would make a person eligible for seeking asylum in the  U.S. Never mind that the rules  and restrictions were put into place to protect Americans. Does anyone  remember 9/11, or for those who can’t remember that far back, how about the  Boston bombing last year? As a reminder, boston Bomber Dzhokhar  Tsarnaev, “the surviving suspect in the deadly bombing of the Boston  marathon, was born in Kyrgyzstan but left the country in 2001.” Loosening the restriction on Islamic asylum seekers is akin to inviting thousands of potential Tsarnaevs into  this United States, or much worse.

2013065933kni-pWhat  is even more terrifying is that this piece IS not trending on Politico,  which would leave one to believe that no one cares about this. However, Thinkprogress is positively giddy about this development.

Under the new  rule, listed in the Federal Register on Wednesday, Secretary of State John  Kerry and Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson determine that certain  portions of the Immigration and Nationality Act “bar certain aliens who do not  pose a national security or public safety risk from admission to the United  States and from obtaining immigration benefits or other status.” Now, with the  publication of this rule, those standards “shall not apply with respect to an  alien who provided insignificant material support” to armed groups — in  particular, the rebel forces the United States is supporting in  Syria.

The change relates to what are known as  “Terrorism-related Inadmissibility Grounds” (TRIG),  which act as a dragnet to prevent not just members of terrorist groups but those  who provide them with material support from entry into the United States. Under  the system, the bar is set high for proof from those applying for entry to gain  a TRIG  exemption. Now, a DHS spokeswoman told  Politico, “material support that was insignificant in amount or provided  incidentally in the course of everyday social, commercial, family or  humanitarian interactions, or under significant pressure” will not be enough to  deny an applicant a TRIG exemption.

Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Mollie Groom  said at last month’s hearing to explain the delays. “And now our own process  takes a little while. It’s very deliberate and careful, it’s designed to be that  way to make sure that we only take bona fide refugees. So we are working very  quickly now to respond to referrals from UNHCR and to start that process of  bringing in refugees.”

While advocates have pressed for this sort of rule change for some  time, not all of them are completely satisfied. In issuing their statement  praising the shift, advocacy group Human Rights First said that the TRIG rules  themselves need to be rewritten. “At the same time, several of the scenarios  covered by these exemptions should not have been treated as ‘terrorist activity’  in the first place,” their statement  reads. “We welcome these announcements for the practical relief they will  provide to many refugees, but regret that the administration has not taken this  opportunity to adopt a more sensible interpretation of the underlying statute,  which is being applied to bar thousands of refugees from protection in the  United States.”

While the focus is on Syrian asylum  seekers at the moment, this is not the end of it. Obama is easing  restrictions on all potential Islamic asylum seekers. With Syria in complete  chaos, largely due to Al-Qaeda  rebels, this is just the beginning. The entire Middle East region is a  powder keg. Will Iranian asylum seekers be next when Israel  is forced to strike the country’s nuclear facilities? Naturally, since Obama  has opened the floodgates to refashion the United States into the United  States of Islam.

Supporters  of the change, including Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., argued that the current  ban on anyone who has ever aided terrorists has unfairly blocked thousands of  refugees.

“The existing interpretation was so broad as to be unworkable,” Leahy  said in a statement. “It resulted in deserving refugees and asylees being barred  from the United States for actions so tangential and minimal that no rational  person would consider them supporters of terrorist activities.”

In light of these and other facts, it is thus deeply alarming that  the Obama administration would move unilaterally to relax admissions standards  for asylum seekers and potentially numerous other applicants for admission who  have possible connections to insurgent or terrorist groups,” Sen. Jeff Sessions,  R-Ala., said in a statement on Thursday. “We need to tighten security standards  for asylum, not relax them even further.”

Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration  Reform, claimed the change was another effort to maximize the number of people  being allowed into the country.

“This administration no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt in  making these kinds of rule changes,” he said. “The consequences are potentially  dire for … public safety.”

The consequences of loosening restrictions for Islamic asylum seekers is  catastrophic. But with an unhinged Obama acting unilaterally, he will surely  bring this nation to its knees. This is surely death to America.
